Board Member, Colorado BlueFlower Fund (January 2016 – 2019) - The BlueFlower Fund helps elect Democratic, pro-choice, progressive women candidates running for state and local office in Colorado. Through the power of a Small Donor Committee, the BlueFlower Fund enhances candidate contributions by mobilizing donors across the state of Colorado. The BlueFlower Fund is proud to work with like-minded individuals across the state of Colorado to maximize contributions to select candidates. Candidates supported by BlueFlower help to transform Colorado’s political landscape by building a pro-choice, progressive agenda at the state and local levels.
City of Fort Collins LGBTQ+ Committee Co-Chair (May 2016 – 2019) - In May 2016, the City formed an LGBTQ+ committee composed of City staff and two community liaisons. The goal of the committee is to ensure our LGBTQ+ community is safe, valued and affirmed within the City organization and community at large.
Colorado Government Association of Information Technology - I’m currently an associate member of CGAIT. The mission of CGAIT is to promote advances in information technology in order to facilitate networking, collaboration, cooperation and education among government information technology leaders within Colorado resulting in greater efficiencies and effectiveness for member organizations while enhancing services to Colorado communities and its citizens.
The Center (2012/2014) - I served on The Center’s board of directors. Board members play a critical leadership role in advancing the mission of The Center by participating in several key roles: policy, positioning, education, advocacy, and fundraising. The mission of The Center is to engage, empower, enrich, and advance the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community of Colorado. The Center is a recognized leader in creating a safe, healthy, inclusive and affirming Colorado for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
The Center’s Northern Colorado Advisory Committee (2012/2014) - I served as chair of the Northern Colorado advisory committee. Advisory committee members provide leadership and serve an integral part in the governance of The Center. Committee members provide The Center’s Board with ongoing knowledge of the Northern Colorado LGBT community. Committee members also assist in strategic planning and development, advocacy, accountability, and feedback. Committee members also play a key role in the development of LGBT programs and services in Northern Colorado.
Northern Colorado ARMA - (2010 - 2012) I served as a board member for the Northern Colorado Chapter of ARMA. Northern Colorado ARMA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting knowledge and understanding of records and information management, education, and networking. We also promote standards of professional competence in the fields of records and information management. Lastly, when appropriate we also assist the community by participating in or contributing to community service projects.
United Way of Larimer County - (2011-2012) I served as co-chairman on United Way’s Community Impact Grant Investment Committee. Grant Investment Committee members participate in the investment and accountability process of Community Funds distributed to non-profit programs in the community of Larimer County.
Plan Fort Collins - (2011) I served as a Committee Member For High Performing Community, I appreciated the opportunity to work on this project. I provided technical input for this extensive 25 year planning document for the Fort Collins community.
Innovation Award - I was honored to have received the 2017 Innovation Award from the City of Fort Collins Innovation Committee. The LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee Co-Chair and I were given this award for the creation of the LGBTQ+ Ambassador Program. This program developed volunteer departmental LGBTQ+ advocates in departments across the organization.
Future LGBT Leader - I was honored to have been nominated and recognized as a future LGBT leader. I attended an event in Washington, D.C. where LGBT leaders across the nation met to discuss national LGBT issues. The event ended with a BBQ dinner at the Vice President’s home. I was honored to meet Vice President Joe Biden and his wife.
World Class People - Each year the City of Fort Collins World Class People program recognizes City workers for their outstanding service, their teamwork, their individuality, and their creativity. It’s a chance to show the Fort Collins community who city employees are, not just what they do. Employees are nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of the previous year's award recipients. I was excited to simply be nominated and truly honored to have been chosen.
ARMA International Chapter Website of The Year - I was honored to be recognized for my work with ARMA International on our chapter website. The Chapter Website of the Year award recognizes the chapter (in each of four membership size categories) that has most effectively used its Web page to present RIM, inform members of chapter activities, and promote the chapter, its activities, and ARMA International during the association year
ARMA International Chapter Leader of The Year - Each year the Northern Colorado ARMA board recognizes a member of the chapter for outstanding leadership. I was honored to have been selected for this award by my fellow ARMA members.
Lead 1.0 Recipient - I was one of eight leaders selected in the City to train in the Lead 1.0 program. Lead 1.0 is a tri-agency leadership program (City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, & Poudre School District). The program includes one year of monthly leadership classes on a variety of topics & leadership coaching. The program also requires participants to participate in a team project. At the conclusion of the Lead 1.0 program teams must present a project that would save our collective government agencies a million dollars. I was honored to have been selected for this program.
Client Excellence Award - Awarded the Client Excellence award based on my creation of an enterprise certification program. With the help of cross-functional teams across the organization, we were able to deploy a truly amazing program. The program provided essential training to aid in a significant application upgrade.
